Greetings !
This is a late summer early fall newsletter. Our events over the last few months have been successful. Following our Rhubarb Tea in early June we had our Second Annual Art at the Boyd, successful despite the rain. Our Boos and Booze event which was done in conjunction with Kawartha Settlers’ Village was a new take on a traditional collaboration. The event involved the Museum and Settlers’ Village and the Bobcaygeon Verulam Cemetery. We are hoping to see this event happen again next year. The Museum was also involved with the Annual Horticultural Garden Tour. If you have not seen our native garden behind the museum, be sure to drop by to see it. In August we had a Lucy Maud Montgomery Tea which featured the original recipes of Lucy from her days of hosting teas at her home in the Parish of Leaksdale. Anne with an E and Gilbert (Sarah & Connor grandchildren of Jenn G) appeared as well. The museum also hosted a musical concert by the local group Vintages. This was a rocking good session at the museum with a great group of musicians and friends supporting our cause. Our Annual Antiques & Collectibles Show was well attended despite the weather. As we move into our event calendar towards fall, you will see us at our booth at the arena for the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair September 27,28. Please stop by to see us there.
Later in the fall we are having a Halloween Haunt event for the whole family October 19th. Look for our posters and social media for times and detail. You won’t be disappointed with this kid friendly event.
Our scheduled next event will be the weekend of the Mingle and Jingle the Gallery of Gifts November 16.
