Barb has been a photographer for over 70 years. After retiring to Bobcaygeon in the early ‘90s, from a business that required total photographic concentration on specific subjects 24/7, she was free to capture anything that called to her. No one genre in particular spoke to her, but everywhere she looked there were subjects for stories. Stories straight from her camera, or, with compositing, maybe a flight of fancy.
She now experiments in anything and everything, including post processing, compositing, and printing on varied paper surfaces

Nola Longhurst Sweet grew up in rural Canada. Her curiosity about her ancestry lead to much research over the years. Her passion grew and as a result she decided to write it all down in the form of an historical fiction based on real people and true events. She is proud to leave this legacy for her family and all pioneers of the Petworth Project.
She and her husband Ron, currently reside in Wisconsin, USA where they enjoy spending time with their four children and six grandchildren

Looking back, I realize colours, patterns and the art of creation has always been in my blood. From loving to draw/colour and do puzzles with my Nana, to art class in school. I look back now and understand that these fun activities I loved as a child helped pave the way to what I am passionate about today.
Expanding my knowledge of art in high school; I had the opportunity to learn stained glass art . Working with a local artist, I took time to build my skills and mastered the steps. I pursued art in a post-secondary setting. I enrolled in a three year Interior Design program and completed my degree. Whether it is interior design or designing stained glass panels, I have been fortunate to find a career and follow my passion.
Traditional Stained Glass
Following retirement I took up making crafts and for the past 3 years in particular, making bags from recycling jeans. Each bag is one of a kind, fully lined and sturdy enough to be used at the grocery store. However, I understand my bags are used for carrying computers, books, beach towels, weekend getaways, and shopping from store to store.

Bobcaygeon, ON Being Canadian, my work is influenced by various cultures, layers of ceramic history, definitely by weather fluctuation. This comes through in my use of varied clay bodies, different techniques and often in the layering of glazes. I like to experiment with diverse forms and surface treatments. I enjoy creating pieces that reach out to people in a personal way; provide comfort on a rainy evening; or evoke a memory of a poignant moment. I like to make bowls, cups, vases; the things of everyday life; the pieces that people can befriend.
Ceramics
After more than 50 years of carving I am still learning. I produce carvings and sculptures using mostly wood and tree bark, but I also use antler, walnuts, pine rust galls, Tagua nuts and occasionally bone. My work includes carved jewelry, wizards, gnomes, magic wands, tree spirits, whimsical bark houses, stylized and abstract carvings and some include fractal burning.
I like working with found materials such as pallet wood, discarded furniture, downed tree branches, bark, culled shrubs, tree roots, and firewood. I think of it as giving the material a second life.

I have been doing acrylic painting for the past 25 years and in 2018 I discovered the exciting world of Acrylic Fluid Art and haven’t looked back. I am a self-taught artist of Acrylic Fluid Art. I have spent many hours on YouTube to find inspiration from other artists using this medium. In the past I have taught individuals this art form through Zoom as a social inclusion project and also taught this art with organizations as a fundraising opportunity. I am now retired and have lots of time to experiment with various tools to create unique pieces of art that will be appealing to the right person.

Heather spent her teenage years in Bobcaygeon, but worked and raised her family in the GTA. After a long career in municipal recreation she and her husband retired to Bobcaygeon.
In retirement Heather has had time to take up her interest in art. She dabbled in acrylic painting for a few years but discovered soft pastels in 2021, this is where her passion lies.
Basically, self taught, rather YouTube taught Heather paints what appears to her in the moment. Her works lean towards realism or impressionistic. They could be still life, landscapes or florals but all have bright bold colours.

A self taught woodworker and blacksmith. At Sunrise CNC, he has combined his love of technology and craftsmanship to create artful and elegant wooden pieces from scratch. He acquired the CNC longmill to strengthen his abilities as a self-sufficient craftsman. Aaron uses the mill to carve 3D renderings, layering decorative elements for display, and to hone parts for assembly into larger and more complex forms such as chests and vessels. As a blacksmith, Aaron has delved into the lost art of cooperage. He forms hardwood barrels, casks, and buckets for wet and dry storage. Aarons designs are rustic and elegant inspired by antique functional beauty. Aaron believes everything that was made properly can be repaired and made to last forever.
Wise Roots Wood Turning.
Our names are David and Maria Wise. We are a husband-and-wife team of wood turners. We belong to the Kawartha Lakes Wood Turners Guild. We have been creating and perfecting our artistic one-of-a-kind pieces since we moved to Lindsay after retirement in 2018.
The wood speaks to what the finish piece becomes. We work with many types of woods and create many different types of pieces. We make pens, charcuterie boards, aromatherapy necklaces, bowls, boxes, goblets and more. We use Pine, Cherry, Cedar, Walnut, Burls of all kinds and others. We have also worked with some exotic woods.
We are also using pyrography to create personalized pieces and make them more unique.
Whether you are looking for a specific piece, something for a gift or just a beautiful piece to display in your home, we have a selection of pieces to choose from.
We also like making Snow men, Christmas Trees, angels, Santa Claus and bells for Christmas which we take orders for.
